Promise Keepers Unfortunately the Promise Keepers organization decided to cancel some of the cities it had planned on hosting their fantastic event in 2007. As a result, the LCC men did not attend. The Promise Keeper schedule for 2008 appears to be similar, so instead we will be attending the Iron Sharpens Iron conference in Albany (see above).
Check back for more information about future Promise Keeper events, or other events we may attend (or host) in the future.
In the meantime, go to the Promise Keeper website (http://www.promisekeepers .org) and take some time to look at pictures from our 2006 trip on the 'Photos' page.
Iron Sharpens Iron
Twenty-three men went to the Iron Sharpens Iron conference in Latham, NY on April 5th, travelling in a five vehicle caravan the evening of the 4th. Dinner and a good night's sleep at a local hotel finished the day before awakening fresh for the conference on Saturday. NMIC purchased the entire conference audio CDs that are available for you to borrow. Click this link for a list of sessions.
Men’s Retreat at LeTourneau Christian Center April 30 & May 1st 2010
Please join us for our 3rd NMIC retreat at LeTourneau Christian Center. The theme of this year's retreat is "Living By Faith".
Our last retreat in 2008 consisted of 57 men -- up from 38 the previous year. And what an incredible turnout and experience it was. A great time was had by all and we left renewed in our faith by the Holy Spirit. 'No Regrets' was the theme of this retreat - and every person had the opportunity to share what they don't regret and pray for each other for things we do have regrets about. Men ministering to men to glorify God.
Men’s Retreat at LeTourneau Christian Camp November 16 & 17, 2007
The men of Lakeshore Community Church experienced God's love during 24 hours at LeTourneau Christian Center, at our first Men's retreat there. For a PowerPoint video presentation of the retreat, click here. For those without PowerPoint, you can view the pictures in this SlideShow.
A great time was had by 38 brothers in Christ and we left renewed in our faith by the Holy Spirit. 'Crossing Thresholds' was the theme of this retreat - and did we ever. Every person stepped out of their comfort zone to minister to one another and to glorify God.
Special thanks to Dana Henderson, Tom Saluzzo, Mike Fragassi and many others for their efforts. Thanks and praise as well to the ownership and staff of LeTourneau for hosting our event, and for providing us with all we need -- especially delicious meals. We're already looking forward to repeating the event in 2008.
