Devotional:  Pursuing What God Has Written on Your
Heart

by Bishop Joseph Garlington

    May 5th, 2007

The devotional this meeting was a DVD from the 2006 Albany Promise Keepers conference from Bishop
Joseph Garlington titled "Pursuing What God Has Written on Your Heart."

We have purchased the DVD set from this conference.  These are available to be borrowed and watched at
your convenience. Here are some notes from I took from the DVD.

The faintest ink is more powerful than the strongest memory.

God has planted a seed in your heart for his will. It is our choice to accept it or not (without knowing what it is)

A definition of heart - the entirety of man's unseen reality.
    Jeremiah 17:1, Luke 8:15, Genesis 6:5-6, 1 Samuel 13, Ecclesiastes 3:11

My heart holds an eternal deposit.
    Romans 2:14-15, 10:10

We believe with our hearts. Getting to know your own heart is the unknown frontier.
    Psalm 139:16

Distinguish between emotional and rational decisions.
We make emotional decisions and then try to rationalize them.
    Distinguish between potential and reality.
Determine to fulfill your potential with no regrets

    Willing precedes knowing. (John 7:17)
    Believing precedes seeing. (John 11:40)

God made me bigger on the inside than the outside.

What would you do if time, money, or space wasn't an issue? If no limits or boundaries existed?
