Devotionals

    July 1st, 2006

Happy Independence Day men. I hope you were able to join us this past Saturday July 1st for our monthly NMIC
Men's Ministry meeting. If you did you heard Bill Dykstra give a devotional on the portrayal of Men, comments on
family, and what man can obtain out of fear of the Lord.  The devotional started with an in depth analysis of (and
I'm not making this up) Humpty Dumpty.

Humpty Dumpty has a major catastrophic problem as he falls off the wall because all (not some or most) the
king's men and all (not some or most) the king's horses cannot put him back together.

    Comments on family:

"Family is one man and one woman joined as one for life, and if God so chooses, children, either through
biological reproduction or legally through adoption." - Andy Stanley

"God created the family to be the primary social institution through which moral values are transferred." - Dr.
    Anthony Evans

"A marriage represents an illustration of Christ and His church as well as the Trinity." - Unknown

We conveniently validate what is as what should be. We justify wrong as right. We do this as individuals as well
    as a society.
