Iron Sharpens Iron - 2008
Posted by: Ray Kaforey
Thank you to
all who attended
Iron Sharpens
Iron this past
weekend. It was
a great time for
fellowship,
worship, and
learning. The
general consen-
sus is that the
conference’s
main speakers,
Crawford Loritts
and Stu Weber
were outstand-
ing, as were the
many breakout
sessions, worship music and exhibitors. If there was one complaint, it was that the venue was not large enough
to comfortably handle the 1000+ attendees. According to Brian Doyle, the National Director of I.S.I., there were
a lot of walk-in registrants, and not enough no-shows. A problem yes, but also a blessing as it demonstrates the
incredible number of men worshiping our Lord.
NMIC, as a ministry, purchased the entire conference audio set which is available for loan. All we ask is a timely
return of the borrowed CD(s) so that others may enjoy them as well. The list of sessions will be published soon.
We would like to arrange a quick review session of the conference by those who attended. This may occur at
the next NMIC meeting, but we want to be certain to give Pastor Vince plenty of time for his devotional. We are
also thinking of a separate, but shorter meeting for the review. Stay tuned for more information.
HELP… Dan Kilker is missing his conference bag that contained CDs and ISI clothing he had purchased. Please
check the bag you have to make sure you didn’t grab the wrong one.
Don’t forget the challenge Tom gave each of us: 1) let him know what change in your life you plan on making as
a result of the conference, and 2) to tell at least one other person about your experience there.
We took up a collection and signed a card for Frank Crugnale, who is now out of the hospital, but at a halfway
house awaiting a place to live and the start of physical therapy. We had collected around $160 for food and
gifts, but are still collecting money. If you’d like to contribute, please contact Mike Fragassi as soon as you can
– and THANK YOU. We will be talking to the Care Team to determine the best use of the monies on Frank’s
behalf. Please continue to pray for Frank’s recovery and well being.
